Happy May Day!

Happy first day of May! Our little robin's have hatched out and sleep quietly in their nest. Their parents are busy pecking for worms and delivering them to the contented trio. The babies are only a day or two old. It won't be long that they will start rapid growth and the days of quiet contentment will give way to chattering for food in a hungry way! For now, their little "May Basket" is cozy and tight.

  3. Those little robins are so cute. Yesterday I sat outside and listened to the little finches sing their songs, and soon a lot of chirping will be coming from our hedge.

  12. Oooooooooooohhhhh, they are soooo sweet!!!!! What a very very very lovely photo, thanks for sharing!

And guess what; we discovered a bird nest in one of the flower boxes at the balcony of our guest room! Five eggs are laying inside and the parents, two blackbirds, are hatching in turns.

Cross your fingers that I will be able to take a similiar shot when the littles ones hatched out!

    Warmest spring greetings from Germany!

  13. Hi again!

I am still sitting at the PC and just found your comment.

Yes, try to dry your alliums, in the air, upside down. I've never tried it myself but a friend of mine did.

I am sorry about the dead bird in your front years.

The two blackbirds are pure black and we try not to disturb them, too! Oh, I can't wait to see the little ones for the first time. I guess it will be soon!

    Have a great week-end!
