Weathered Oasis in the Desert

Posted by Picasa
Connected to the opera house in a U-shaped complex are rooms and places that make this adobe building unique and interesting. Miss Becket purchased the entire ghost town in 1981. She reopened the 23 room hotel which is filled to capacity during the show season. So guests can experience the true essence of times past, there are no televisions or telephones in hotel guest rooms or lobby. Although the building is very old and has not been modernized, Marta has created a refreshing and beautiful place to stay by painting murals on the walls. A friendly peacock greets guests on the veranda.
