Seeking Signs of Spring
Winter rains have been constant. Grey skies and drizzle have encompassed January days. Today, there was a break from rain and the sun peeked out through cloud cover for awhile in the early afternoon. It was the perfect opportunity for a short walk around the garden, seeking signs of spring. I was not disappointed. Spring bulbs were sending tiny green shoots through the muddy earth. Miniature rose bushes were sending shoots of green leaves out from their thorny branches. And hearty potted herbs were lush and fresh after the rain washing they'd received. I was even blessed to find some tiny 'snowdrop' flowers starting to bloom! What more promise of a garden's future is there than a blossom! God is good!
