Reflection. . .mirror image. I love the words that have the same meaning: appearance, counterpart, duplicate, echo, glitter, idea, image, impression, lightness, picture, ray, representation, reproduction, shadow, shine.
We reflect those we admire and spend time with. We become a representation, a reproduction of whom we emulate. The Newsboys have a song that my sons love called "Shine". Maybe you've heard it. The chorus goes like this:
SHINE
MAKE 'EM WONDER WHAT YOU'VE GOT
MAKE 'EM WISH THAT THEY WERE NOT
ON THE OUTSIDE LOOKING BORED

LET IT SHINE BEFORE ALL MEN
