Teacup of the Day - Mexican Blue

This little teacup of Mexican clay and colorful paint of blue and white was a gift to me from my friend, Bonnie. A scalloped edge frames it's rim. Four pedestal legs form a lovely base and a graceful handle adorns the side. Handpainted, each floral pattern is varied from the next. Although I don't use this cup for tea --- as I don't know of the lead-free status of the glaze --- I enjoy this cup on display on my bookshelf and think of my dear friend each time I look at it.

Bonnie purchased this teacup for me when on a cruise to Cabo San Lucas with her husband. Her first cruise, this teacup was her first experience at learning to 'barter'. She discovered it was great fun!

I love this little teacup and the thoughtfulness that went into its gifting to me! Thank you!
