Tea Party in a Box

A dear friend is having a birthday this week. It's her "Red Hat" year, as she turns 50. It's amazing to think about how the years have flown by! We became friends when we were fifteen-year-old students in high school. We are now well into the era of 'middle age'. Yesterday I mailed her a tea party in a box. Papaya scones, Chocolate Rose tea, Queen Mary tea, sugar cubes, a sweet spread, lacy paper napkins, and a card with instructions on how to naturally decaffeinate the tea were all tucked into a box with cheerful, red tissue paper. It is my wish that her special day start out with a leisurely cuppa tea and a special remembrance from me! I hope she doesn't forget to wear her new red hat!
