In Stitches After Teacup Fall

I am not one to follow the habits of movie stars, nor did I take this photo, but today's newspaper heading reads Lindsay Lohan in stitches after slippery teacup fall. It caught my eye, as teacups are something that interest me. Evidentally Lindsay fell and cut her leg last week while visiting someone in London. Her mother was quoted as saying:

"She and her friends were preparing breakfast, with eggs and everything, and Lindsay was going up the stairs, carrying a ceramic teacup. She had just come out of the shower so she was still wet and had some lotion on, and she completely flipped on the stairs since it was slippery. The teacup went flying, it was shattered, and one of the pieces cut Lindsay in her shin."

Although the quote is confusing (was she preparing breakfast or just getting out of the shower?), it opens up word pictures in the mind of flying teacups, need for caution and care in a place generally considered a safe haven, and a general requirement to pay attention to the little things around us. I wish Lindsay a full recovery and I wonder what was the mark on the teacup she broke. Royal Doulton? Shelley? Duchess?
