No matter where I am in the yard, Calli always seems to find me and then talks away while I work. He is king of the yard domain and nothing gets past his inspection! Here he is by the Lemon Balm Lamiaceae Melissa which he let me harvest peacefully (when I work with catnip he's a crazy fellow and there's no peace in sight!). Melissa means 'bee' --- and the tiny white flowers that grow in whorled clusters on this plant attract many of them! I wonder if Calli is complaining about that?

  2. Our cable company has a contest every week for the best picture. If you have something like that, you should definitely turn that one in!

  5. What a pretty cat. My garden buddies are my two collies...they love curling up beside me as I work.
