Chilly Day
It's a chilly day in the neighborhood! Brisk breezes and passing showers make this a good day to stay at home and clean house! The washing machine is swishing and the vacuum cleaner ready to work. By days end, the house will sparkle and gleam. Setting aside Thursday as 'cleaning day' always makes Friday such a lovely day. Baking, cooking, or stitching take on a relaxed mode once the housework is done.
Thanks for all the questions and comments about the tea towel. Yes, it really is a tea towel! I found it at a local home decor shop and thought it was so cute.

That's a tea towel? I've never seen anything like it and it is adorable! Did you make it yourself and, if so, how so? :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like good weather for a "comfort" food that I grew up with - a big pot of pinto beans and homemade cornbread! Hope you stay dry and warm!
ReplyDeleteWell I cleaned today too. But it's not cool here. It's still in the upper 70s and I'm none too happy about it. But my bathrooms are done, the floor is mopped, the carpets are vacuumed, dinner a success and there's a chocolate pie in the fridge waiting for my hubby. Today I busted my patootie. Tomorrow I relax!

You have a Tammy doll? Really? Is she wearing her own clothes? Did you chop off her hair? Any chance of taking a pic and showing me? :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a charming towel -- so realistic! It is cool here also, so I made lentils.
ReplyDeleteI love the fall, it always puts me in the mood to make the house cozy and to build a fire. I love baking this time of year too. Karen

Until I read the comments, I thought this was a fabric patch you made for an apron that you are drying on the line. If not, well, it could be, y'know? It's really cute.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty towel hanging on the line. Isn't it a great feeling when the house it clean!
