Visiting the Rain Forest

It always rains at the rain forest, except for today, or so it seemed to us today. A warm and beautiful day in the rain forest was not expected, and our umbrellas stayed in the vehicle. The Hoh Rain Forest averages 140 - 180 inches of rain per year. By comparison, Seattle, usually considered to be a city where you have to have webbed feet to survive there, only receives 34 inches per year. Beautiful trees, some standing over 200 feet tall, and clinging moss and ferns created beauty that simply cannot be recorded on my camera. It was awesome!
