Today we took the North Cascades Highway, passing right through the center of North Cascades National Park. Although the skies were somewhat smokey from a forest fire farther to the east, it was a beautiful day and the mountains were beautiful. We were most impressed with the crystal clear waters of the rivers and lakes.
