Hope for Spring

There is a wonderful plant nursery on our block. Trees, shrubs, annuals, perennials, hanging baskets, fountains and statues, planters, and water plants are all within easy access. I will admit that I have to limit my visits to this nursery, as all the wonderful plants are simply too tempting. But, since we had our first "killing frost" last week, and I was having a day of mourning over it all, I decided to take a trip to the nursery and see what I could find. The sign on the road had been saying 50% off for the month of October and it was the last day of the sale. I was not disappointed! I purchased four different types of flowering trees, a promise for spring. Tomorrow is 'planting day' for my new trees: Oklahoma Rudbud, Satomi Dogwood, Weeping Cherry Tree, and Flowering Crabapple. My husband is amused that I actually took pictures of my nursery trip, but just count this as the 'before' picture and stay tuned for the 'after' photo in the spring!

  2. Thank you so much, Mary. Since we were staring year two, I thought it was time for a change.
