Lavender Sugar Scrub

Lavender Sugar Scrub

This gentle facial scrub freshens and stimulates your skin. When used in the morning, it brightens the complexion. It can be used alone or with your favorite cleanser. Sugar is gentle enough to use on all skin types and isn't as abrasive as it may feel at first, since it slowly dissolves as you wash with it.

1/4 cup dried lavender flowers
1 cup granulated sugar

In a clean dry glass jar alternate a layer of sugar with the dried lavender bud. Cover with a tight fitting lid or plastic wrap and place in a dry spot for a few weeks. When the sugar is well scented, sift out the lavender bud. Don't worry if you sugar has a bit of the bud left in it, as it gives your product a certain homemade beauty. Store your sugar scrub in a clean dry container with a tight fitting lid.

To use: Pour a small amount into the palm of your hand. Blend with water or your favorite cleanser. Massage into your face and rinse well with warm water.

  1. Thanks for sharing - I can't wait to try this. I have a small lavendar plant but this will be a great way to use it as it grows in the coming years.
