Spring from the Front Porch

Our spring has been cool and somewhat slow in arriving, but the results are a beautiful, flowering season. This view from our front porch exhibits lots of green with the remnants of pink bloom on the flowering Thundercloud Plum. The blossoms on the Pink Dogwood are full and look like cotton candy. The lavender is sprouting new green leaves and the Spanish lavender is full of buds. Tiny lily-of-the-valley blossoms peek out from the tall green leaves that protect them from the sun. Tomorrow we'll plant hot pink wave petunias in the planters in the center island, preparing for a colorful summer ahead! I love spring!
