A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood

Each year I eagerly await the opening of the Farmer's Market in our community. Delicious fresh fruits and vegetables, honey, arts and crafts, and plants are available for a good price and there are so many interesting people to talk to. Our Farmer's Market meets twice a week and has recently opened for the season. Since it's only the beginning of the season, there was not much variety yesterday, but there was enough to please the taste buds and some fun things besides.

  1. you are blessed to have a farmers market nearby. Our closest one is over 50 miles from here.

  2. I am thankful for this market. Vendors travel from miles around (some as far as 150 miles) to sell their produce at this market. Generally vendors are from within a 50 mile radius, though. They sell everything from asparagus, corn, sweet onions, blueberries, raspberries, cherries, pears, peaches, apples, potatoes, salad greens, and more. And, I'm glad they are open on a day other than the week-end. . .
