Red for Cheer!

There's nothing like the color red when it comes to taking away winter doldrums! It's the color of cheer and happiness. A friend quotes her aunt as saying that every woman should have a touch of red somewhere in a room. I've thought about that concept a lot over the years, and have decided there is merit in it. Even tiny touches of red in the right tones for a selected color scheme can add interest, effect, and cheer.

Here's wishing you a cheerful and delightful week! Don't forget a touch of red here and there to add happiness to your day!

Good morning, I totally agree with you. I have touches of red in my home from before Christmas until after Valentines day when I usually start decorating in more pastels for spring. Red is a truly beautiful and vibrant color. I hope you have a lovely day and a lovely week too!

  2. Couldn't agree more with that advice and have always followed it. A touch of red...just look at all the great paintings...well, it works wonders.

Have a happy week...hope that you are happily enjoying your kitchen!

  3. RED is my first favorite color {pink running a very close second!} The main color accent in my kithcen is RED. Even my lips & nails are quite often RED. Guess you could say I agree with having touches of red everywhere!
I love the dolls! The faces are sooo cute!

  4. Hi there. I just found your blog. I recently did a blog entry on red tool I just LOVE red! Hope you can drop by for a visit. Have a lovely week!

  5. I spied red and came running to see what you were sharing. My favorite color! I agree--so cheerful. Perfect for starting the week!

  6. Red is definitely one of my favorite colors. Red rose, red shoes, red sweaters, red berries, red flowers, red birds, red apples, and so much more. Now I must go find some red for today.

  7. Red happens to be a favorite color of mine and I agree that it a color of cheer and energy.

  8. Yes, red is very cheery! I'm enjoying having some true red in our house now for Valentine's Day!

The red in our house year around is more a berry/wine red, does that count?!

  9. I love your cheery red!! So glad you got some sunshine, too!!

I'm dealing with some hormonal junk, so I've been on a bit of a roller coaster!!

All is well, though...just a little crazy at times!!

    Thanks for your friendship! :o)

  10. I agree about the color red. I have gone through "color phases" and have been known for my green phase, my purple phase, and now my red phase. I am glad I have embraced red ... it has helped me survive the gray winter days!
