Cup of Blessing

"Never lose an opportunity
of seeing anything that is beautiful;
for beauty
is God's handwriting ---
a wayside sacrament. Welcome it in every fair

face, in every fair sky, in every fair flower,
and thank God for it as a

CUP OF BLESSING."

  1. I have always loved Ralph Waldo Emerson. Thanks for the lovely reminder why.
    Be blessed in all that you do today. And enjoy some quiet tea time.

  4. A challenge that I'd like to rise to... Is that your teapot? It's so cool looking.

  6. Oh, I love that quote, I've never heard it before! So timely...I've been noticing the most beautiful little things all week. I call myself a "beauty junkie" and sometimes life feels a little empty of beauty, but then your vision shifts a little and you start spotting it in all sorts of places.

    Thanks for the lovely quote, it gave me a lot of pleasure.

    I really like that. I don't think we slow down enough to appreciate all of the things GOD has given us to enjoy.

  8. This is a wonderful quotation. I've had the first part in my sidebar, taken from a postcard given to me by a friend. I never saw the rest of the quotation, and didn't know it was by one of my favorite New England authors.
    Thank you for sharing...

  9. One of my favorite tea quotes! And, I have 2 cast iron teapots: one in pine needles and another textured like the one shown, but in violet. I love the way they keep tea hot!

    Beautiful posts! I am finally getting back into my blog visits after our recent move.

    Best Blessings, KJ
