Threads of Frost

Although most of us as bloggers enjoy the artistic talents of so many in blogland, it seems I am always drawn most to the artistry found in nature. Have you noticed how art principles are carried out over and over again in nature? Balance, color, rhythm, unity, and more are all found in creation. This morning was frosty and the lawn covered with a coat of white. I was most intrigued by the cobwebs that hung like garlands from grass plume to grass plume. Each was coated in a thick layer of white frost, making web show up in such amazing patterns. It was so interesting. . .I just had to share. It might be a simple thing in life, but it's the small things that bring great joy and wholeness to the spirit!

Enjoy a lovely week-end!

  3. I agree. There is beauty all around us that is continually being designed and tweaked. I marvel at the shapes, patterns, colors, scents . . .

We, unfortunately, are gearing up for more Santa Ana conditions this weekend. This means more heat and winds that come off the desert. With all of the recent fires, this has many cringing. Please pray that any further fires will be staved off.

    Best Blessings,
    KJ

  4. The picture of the cobwebs reminds me of my time on the farm when on a sunny day you looked across the fields and the ground shone silver, the whole field covered with a blanket of cobwebs. The funny thing was that you could only see them when looking at them from a certain angle. Bob.

  5. Loved your photos! I get so much joy from seeing God's marvelous creation each and every day. I pray I never take that for granted, or start worshipping the created instead of the Creator. =)
