Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving!

Wishing you God's blessings this holiday season and for the year to come. We have so much to be grateful for and this is the perfect time of year to share that abundance with others. Seek those in need and receive the joy of sharing!

Each Thanksgiving since the boys were young I've taken a 'group picture' of them with their cousins. This year all six of them were able to arrive home from the colleges and universities they are attending. It's been a few years since all six of them were able to be at our Thanksgiving celebration at the same time. Perspectives on politics, cars, friends, studies, and memories of happy Thanksgiving's before made up enjoyable table talk. It makes me wish to be able to go back in time to my youth --- and at the same time I'm grateful for the stage in life I'm in and wouldn't change it for a thing! There's something about the vibrancy, enthusiasm, and perspective of young adults that makes life so interesting and appealing. . .and yet there's something so seasoned and confident of middle age. Fortunately it is not our choice, but one that's been designed from above.

  1. I hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
    Many blessings,
    Sandy :)

Thanksgiving dinner was great and the kitchen is finally tidy. I thought I would have a cup of coffee and read in blogland. Hope you had a wonderful day. Blessings, Karen

  3. I totally agree with you about the college age being desirable for a brief moment...until I remember how much I enjoy being the age I am now. We, too, had college kids home for the holiday and had similar interesting conversations.

    Have a great weekend!

Glad you were able to be with Family.

That picture really made me smile! What a great looking group... and what a total blessing to be together!

What a wonderful shot of the young people! Blessings...

  7. What a nice photo of your beautiful family. How wonderful that they were all able to be home for Thanksgiving. I agree with you, there's nothing much more fun than having young people around.

  8. I couldn't help but think back to a very few short years ago when I took similar pictures and then within a few years they all married and the family pictures changed. Our family has always loved their cousins too. What a blessing to have family to rub ideas with.

  9. What beautiful young adults...looks like a warm heart filled gathering. May God continue to bless all of you.

Great lookin' kids! How nice that they all seem to be around the same age.
Young people do have an interesting perspective on things but I agree that the older one gets the clearer things get.
    Take care,

  11. Now that is a group of happy looking young adults! Looks like you had a great Thanksgiving.

  12. What a nice picture with your sons and their family! I can see that you had a great thanksgiving!

  13. So nice to have them all home for Thanksgiving!

  14. It is so true, I threw a large feast for 23 one sister and all the nieces and nephews (of two of my 7 siblings) with their small children. It really set time of life into perspective for me. We are becoming the Elders now.

  15. Yes thats the truth, I also think its nice when everyone can be there as a family, times like this go too quickly. Bob.
