Wind the ribbon tail around the stems, going back and forth at an angle about three times. Cut the end of the tail and tie off by stitching or tacking with a needle and thread. Add a ribbon bow at the top. Hang to dry. Enjoy! The fragrance is wonderful!

  1. Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing the "how to" of making these. I have often wondered about them. My lavender seems to have caved in from the heat while I was gone and no one tended them. I will try again !

  2. Patty, 'caved in' lavender will still make good wands. Use the same process as for baskets, but just keep going with the weaving until you reach the end of the lavender bud. Then, instead of weaving, wrap around the stems. They are simple and fun. Bottles are made in a similar manner, but without any weaving (they are open so the bud can add fragrance to a linen closet). Have fun!
