Leaves

L E A V E S

"How silently they tumble down
And come to rest upon the ground
To lay a carpet, rich and rare,
Beneath the trees without a care,
Content to sleep, their work well done,
Colors gleaming in the sun.
At other times, they wildly fly
Until they nearly reach the sky.
Twisting, turning through the air
Till all the trees stand stark and bare.
Exhausted, drop to earth below
To wait, like children, for the snow."

  3. Lovely poem...just this morning I was looking out the kitchen window and observed the flaming yellow leaves of two maple trees in the backyard as they floated down in a gentle stream, aided by a gentle breeze.

  4. Hi Sweet Friend, Caught up on a few of your last posts. Love the autumn walk at the wildlife refuge...simply lovely, and copied the recipe for the nut balls...I've started eating about 50% raw and this will be a great snack!

I also love the photo that says be blessed. Would you mind if I framed it and put it in my sidebar?
Just let me know. If you'd rather me not, that's fine, too. :o)

Sure appreciate all the beauty of your blog (and YOU)!!

    Have a joyful day!
    Love n hugs,
