Ice skating is fun if you choose it, but not quite as much fun when it's the only alternative! Freezing rain has covered us with a sheet of ice on sidewalks and plants. The cars are covered with a glistening coating of thick ice. It's like an ice castle outside! Inside it's toasty warm. The wood stove is blazing and a hot cuppa African red chai tea with soy milk and a touch of chocolate is waiting for those who wish to have some. Yum! It's the perfect night for a family night at home. Even the dogs are sticking close to the fire with lazy eyes and relaxed tails. They are simply too relaxed to wag!
