Landscapes

The landscape of a day
is never barren. . .
Upon each hour is painted
at least one gift ---
the sunrise of a smile,
the rainbow of a wish,
the gentle, peaceful sunset
of contentment ---
God gives us beauty
for all our days
in small and unexpected ways
to bless the heart
and lift the spirit skyward.
