A Woodsy Teatime

It's been awhile since I posted, but life hasn't been boring in the interim. August is a month that I try to set aside time to visit Dad and Alma, and last week I was blessed by the opportunity to be their guest. A dear friend, Bonnie, decided to take the trip with me. She's been my friend for more than thirty years. Dad considers her another one of his daughters, so our visit was a fun 'family time'. After arriving back at home, Bonnie stayed with my family for two or three more days before heading back to her home in another state. Yesterday we enjoyed a relaxing and quiet day at the cabin. We spent the time enjoying nature, visiting, and relishing the coolness and feel of autumn in the air.

There is a reason your blog has always been one of my favorites (well, since I started reading blogs last year). :)

  5. Oh my! This is beautiful! Just my style, but with kids, I rarely have the brain power or energy to come up with a lovely spread like that. Maybe by the time my kids are in college, my creativity can come out too. Until then my energy is used up just getting the nutritious food made. Glad you have had such a nice visit with your friend and dad.
