Summer's Treats

This is the best time of the year for eating! Are you enjoying all the fresh garden treats like my family is? Cooking is pure joy when fresh onions, garlic, squash, tomatoes, and corn are available for tasty savory dishes. And the desserts. . .simply melons and peaches and apricots are delightful. This post could be about eating according to the colors of the rainbow for good health, or phytochemicals and how they protect against free-radicals, or the advantages of a raw food diet. But instead, I will let the photos speak for themselves. Enjoy them. I'm off to find a few new recipes for fresh tomato sauces or squash stir-fry!

Happy eating!

What a bounty! I love summer fruits and vegetables. I really enjoy apricots tree ripened and those picklin cucumbers (?) look marvelous...
