Wise Words from Julia Child

Never name a dish before you serve it.

Your souffle falls in the oven? You're now

serving Fallen Souffle.

Julia Child

  1. I am so glad she was a cooking mentor to me through her PBS shows. Especially the idea that if it doesn't turn out exactly like you thought it would, turn it into something else and serve it, anyway.

I have done that a few times. Usually the dish tastes the same even if it looks different. Like the time I forgot to put the milk in the quiche and it turned into a pancake of sorts. ;)

  2. Good advice, La Tea Dah. Have had my share of fallen souffes. Susan

  3. This is great advice.
