Lavender & Tea Time

It's already the end of June. I'm still blogging at The Traveling Teapot this month. You're invited to stop by and read about the adventures of the little plum teapot. I've been having fun hosting this month. Today's post is about tea time during alone times.

“Have you ever heard the wonderful silence just before the dawn? Or the quiet and calm just as a storm ends? Or perhaps you know the silence when you haven't the answer to a question you've been asked, or the hush of a country road at night, or the expectant pause of a room full of people when someone is just about to speak, or, most beautiful of all, the moment after the door closes and you're alone in the whole house? Each one is different, you know, and all very beautiful if you listen carefully.”

  1. We've had guests staying with us since May 5. Family - a hospitalization and now therapy. Our nephew and his wife just left the house for a therapy appointment, and I did a little dance and sang a song, "I'm alone in my house" - I love having them here, but I also love being alone in my house. So silly I am. Your quote perfectly expresses my feeling. I made a cup of tea and sat down to read some blogs and yours was the first one. Perfect! Thank you.

  2. Do I sense a fellow introvert? Oh, I do love the sounds of silence!
