A Garden in Every Childhood

"There is a garden in every childhood, an enchanted place where colors are brighter, the air softer, and the morning more fragrant than ever again."

  2. I know my secret childhood places! This is so true. I hope each child has enough nature and wildness in his/her life to find this.

  3. I suppose that is true, but every attempt I made at gardening as a child was thwarted. Nothing ever grew. It's a miracle that I enjoy gardening at all. Did you have a childhood garden?

  4. Love this quote. The image it brought to my mind was of a time long ago when, as a child, I tried planting a garden. I trimmed it with rocks and it was beautifully planned, but the ground was hard as clay and I didn't know about giving it water to grow. Karleen's flowers are beautiful.
