"There is a God who speaks anywhere, surely He speaks here: through waking up and working, through going away and coming back again, through people you read and books you meet, through falling asleep in the dark."
When my friend's little sister, fifteen years younger than she, was about four years old, she commented that God had been talking to her. My friend's ears perked up and she asked how her sister had heard from God. The little girl replied, "First you have to be very quiet..." I've always remembered that and this post reminds me of it.
I don't have a blog, but I came across yours on Tea Party Girl. This blog is so beautiful it made me cry. Thank you for taking time to include so many lovely pictures and thoughts. Tea Lady Linda
Oh how I do love this quote. I have another Fredrick Buechner quote which it love too. I can't find it right now, but it is about the importance of each persons story. I will send it when I find it.

Yes, La Tea Dah. He IS a God who speaks anywhere. He's here, too! Susan p.s. Love the lady "sculpture" with the umbrella!

ReplyDeleteLaDonna, I really like this quote. It's a reminder that God is everywhere, even the everday things.
