Hospitality

Hospitality

Let the "angel unaware" be in your home.  Be a friend of someone today.  You are loved and needed!

"When God's children are in need, you be the one to help them out.  And get into the habit of inviting guests home for dinner, or if they need lodging, for the night."  Romans 12:13 TLB

~ I am reading through my old journals, finding tidbits of thoughts and verses that have inspired me and helped me become who I am today.  Do you have a journal like that?  Have you gone through previous posts recently?  It's fun to see how you have grown or changed throughout the process we call 'life'.  ~

  1. Reading through my old journals is one of my favorite things in the world! I recently found some old poems I wrote in high school. How fun and insightful to review them!

  2. Yes, it is interesting to take a look back. I was whinier then and I may be whiny again. ;>

Lovely kitchen looking so cozy and welcoming.

  3. I haven't gone back, but someone recently said how much I had improved since I first started blogging and I have thought about going back and reading old posts. Thanks for the reminder to do so.

  4. Like you, I enjoy reading my old journals... always amazed at the good stuff I find in them.... quotes and things I've pondered and things I've learned.

Reminds me of something Oscar Wilde was once attributed to saying.... when he traveled by train, he was always sure to carry along his journals to ensure he'd have something interesting to read.

I joke with my hubby when we're packing our books and things for a wee trip somewhere.... that I better not forget to pack my journal so that if the trip gets boring I'll still have my journal.

Here's a quote I just re-copied from an earlier journal into my current one (to keep it fresh in my mind) as I plan for 2010....

"You will never change your life until you change something you do daily." John C. Maxwell

    Happy Day! Brenda

    Hi laDonna.
I love your new blog look. I too love reading through my old journals. It helps me see patterns and habits I need to change and ways I have grown.
I love the picture of you and your family. I now have a face to put with a name.
    Hugs,
    Elizabeth

  6. I always clip sayings, pictures, magazine clips of things that touch my heart. Have a self-discovery journal, plus dozens of notebooks that I put things in. Anything that adds to our joy of life is worth saving. Sincerely, Susan from writingstraightfromtheheart.blogspot.com
