"Father, give me the grace today to take time. Time to be with you. Time to be with others. Time to enjoy the life you have given to me. Help me remember that today is the day you have made. May I rejoice and be glad in it! Amen."
~ Luci Swindoll, Joy Breaks ~
Amen and amen...
ReplyDeleteThis is the verse I shared in yesterday's post. It's a good one for every day. Love this prayer! ~Adrienne~
ReplyDeletethanks for the reminder to slow down and simply be with God and all he has blessed us with!
ReplyDeleteYes, thanks! I was just thinking this yesterday. I realized that my worship time with God was when I drove to and from work and I have been missing it. I need to find another time to set aside for this.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder that we MUST make time to spend with our God. Sincerely, Susan from writingstraightfromtheheart.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Luci Swindoll. I've read a few of her books. One of them is called Wide My World, Narrow My Bed which is about her decision to stay single once she hit her 30s.
ReplyDeleteIt's actually a book about embracing life with beauty, music, books, etc. (of course, I'd love it). :)
She has so much wisdom and such a great way of looking at life. She laughs a lot in her books about how people assume Chuck is her husband (he's her brother).
Thanks for the memories.
Time is one of the very best gifts we give or receive. Is "Joy Breaks" a devotional?
ReplyDeleteHaven't been by for a little while.... what a treat to browse through your postings and catch such inspiring thoughts and beauty.
ReplyDeleteHappy day......
