Conversation's Art

"The real art of conversation is not only to say the right thing at the right place, but to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment."

  3. Where are you getting these quotes? This one is so true and I need to put this one right under the other one on my fridge. Oh I do try, but sometimes the little guy standing guard at my lips falls asleep.

  6. Well said!! This reminds me of an advice my mom gave us which was, “You have a lifetime to say what is on your mind; however, once you said it, you can never take it back, so think before you speak”.

Luv, when you get a chance, please send me the link to Princess Diana’s post.
    Many thanks

  10. Oh yes! I often replay a conversation in my mind's eye and do soooo wish I had NOT said that!
And seldom do I recall regretting a moment of self control and "biting my tongue'. I so admire people who can just listen.

  11. Very true. The fruit of self control is one that when in bloom or full fruit is very lovely indeed.
