Broccoli and Pea Salad

Alma's Broccoli and Pea Salad

2 cups broccoli, fresh, cut into small pieces (Cuisinart/curved blade)
2 cups frozen peas
2 - 3 stalks celery, diced fine (Cuisinart/squared blade)
1/2 cup almonds, chopped and roasted in skillet (or oven)
1 tsp. dill
1 tsp. sea salt
1/2 cup Vegenaise

Mix all ingredients together after preparing/chopping. Stir until mixed. Serve and enjoy! VERY yummy!

*Use more Vegenaise if you like more moisture.

  2. Funny, but I just bought some broccoli thinking about making a salad. This recipe is a bit different than what I make, but sounds good.

  3. Sounds good, La Tea Dah but I don't know what Vegenaise is. Kind of like mayonnaise? Susan

  5. I have been making and sharing this recipe for quite a while now. It seems to evolve over time. Today I made it with shredded cabbage instead of broccoli, thyme instead of dill and added a little onion and a cup of peanuts. Very good salad. Very versatile! :)

  6. OH. And I also just put in the whole pound bag of peas instead of measuring them.
