Hot Lavender

Hot lavender, mints, savory, marjoram;
The marigold, that goes to bed wi' th' sun,
And with him rises weeping; these are flow'rs
Of middle summer, and I think they are given
To men of middle age.

  1. I studied Shakespeare for four years and I still don't understand him. "...and I think they are given to men of middle age." What? Do you know? :D

  2. I see that Rudbeckia. Is there anything more charming than a brown-eyed Susan?

  3. Love the purple at the base of the birdbath. Bet it smells divine, too. Susan

  5. My son's 10th grade English class had to study A Midsummer Night's Dream this past year. I don't think any of them got it.

    Will you harvest all that lavender and bundle it up or use it to make sachets?

    The tray painted by your mom is very pretty. Hope you have a fabulous Friday. Tammy
