Seasons and Sunrise

Have you noticed how the season is changing? The hot days of summer are passing by and the days are growing shorter and cooler. Indian summer is near. I love the coolness of these days, with the pleasant warmth during mid-day, and the way the flowers bloom with renewed freshness after the very hot days of summer. School starts for community children this week. The local school bus will be our alarm clock as it stops on the road to gather neighborhood children into it's fold. I enjoyed viewing the sunrise recently. Believe me, that's not something I do every day! But it was such a pleasant time of day --- and watching the shadows cast across the lawn as the sun rose over the eastern sky was the perfect way to start the day! September daze will soon be here --- and with it more change as the season progresses into autumn. I'm so glad that God created seasons!

  1. No season change here yet. We'll be last on the list. But that sure is a beautiful photo!

  2. The evenings are getting a bit cooler here. As much as I love all of the seasons, I think the Autumn is my favorite. I love that first 'sweater day' and the first night that begs for a log on the fire. Have a happy week! CS ^..^

Last night I noticed how dark it was by 9:00 p.m. Today is chilly, so I dug out my Good Earth tea. It's time for something with some cinnamon in it!

  6. I love this time of year too .. a few weeks ago I snuck out of the house to take some sunrise pictures. Taking sunrise pictures early summer will not happen often . the sunrise is too early.
I'm looking forward to a nice warm fall but I'm not holding my breath. We have a deluge of rain coming later tonight.

  8. Gorgeous picture. Yes, I will be enjoying sunrises again starting tomorrow. I look forward to once again getting back to school. I think the routine works better for me. We wore jackets outside this morning and areas around had frost warnings last night!!
