I wonder so often why no one has faith enough to even move a small mound of soil, let alone a mountain. How does one find the kind of faith Christ spoke of ?
Patty, I've thought of this alot. I 've decided that 'faith' is a gift from God and He gives it to us in measures that we need when we need it. Evidentally most of us don't have a 'need' to move a mountain, but there sure are days that I 'need' to have enough faith to simply make it through the day. And on those days especially, I am thankful for the gift of 'faith'.
But can you imagine if someone could move a mountain, how that would make so many believers in a moment of time ? But probably like the red sea parting, it would only change peoples hearts for a short time.
So true, but if believers would have that need and that type of faith, I wonder if others would be following God because they love Him. . .or because of what He could do for them. There are many claimed followers of God, but are they really if they are following Him for the wrong reasons? So many people think of Him as a celestial Santa Claus rather than as a loving friend. Lots to think about.
