The Morning Watch

The morning watch happens each day, no matter what the season. Coco thinks the sofa back is exactly the proper height to rest her chin on as she keeps watch for birds and squirrels. Sometimes she simply observes and soaks up the sun. Other times she stretches her legs and makes a mad dash to the doggy door so she can chase a squirrel high into a tree. Such a life! At our house we say "it's a pretty good life to be a dog".

  1. The morning starts out here with Joey working his head through the drapes in our room - so he can look out through the double doors to the back yard. That begins a routine of looking, barking, running to the sofa in the living room to get his 'stance' for watching out the window. There is much for a little dog to see every morning!

  2. The morning here much the same! Joey starts by poking his head through the drapes in our room for a good look through the double doors into the backyard. Then a run through the house to get his stance on the sofa for his 'watch' on the front of the house.

  3. Yes, I do think it would be a pretty good life looking out your window and running to chase the squirrels.

  4. Hi La Tea Dah! Where oh where have you been? Have I been out to lunch on your posts?

Our Honey Cat is YEARNING to go out but I'm TRYING to convince her to be an indoor cat after all these years.

Somebody said, "So you are putting her in a nursing home? (our house). Well, guess so but the last fracas with a neighborhood cat cost us $305 and that is a LOT for us.

Take care. Good to see your post. Susan
