When we allow ourselves to dream
We plant a seed so promising and fair
to grow and blossom, a precious garden
of fantasies unique and rare.
With each flower blooming, a new hope arises
each petal with smell so sweet.
But when we stop ourselves from dreaming
the petals wither in defeat.

I enjoyed reading that this morning. Have a wonderful day filled with hopes and dreams...
ReplyDeleteI was going to say "so true" also. I was just telling my son yesterday that also continuing to learn keeps us young and growing too.
ReplyDeleteYou always have the best poetry and prose. Not only that, you always share the cozier, homey side of life...nothing like an African violet to evoke that sense.
ReplyDeleteSweet words and photo. I noticed the doily. Looks similar to one I gave my cousin as a gift a few years back. It had her name crocheted in the pattern.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful poem, flower and flower pot. Thanks for sharing, Lisa :O)
