End of Season

Autumn is such a colorful season! Although it's the first of December, winter is not yet officially here. I'm relishing autumn while I can. I love the vibrant red, orange, and yellow colors that nature provides. Bringing these colors inside helps to create a cozy and comforting atmosphere. It's the season for warm potato soup, a cup of hot tea, and fuzzy slippers. Here's a poem that describes some of the elements of autumn that I especially enjoy:

When the wind's blowing hard
Through the trees in your yard
I can promise you this ---
Tea and blankets are bliss.

  2. I admire your hanging with autumn. Are you going to do that right through the 21st? :D

Lovely poem and I did spend time time under a fleecy blanket with some tea and a good book today. Lovely!

  4. I love the colours of autumn as well. OH but I love the colors of Christmas too and enjoy a full month of the decorations. . .now we could just come up with something bright and cheery for the real winter months.

It is amazing how we are all on such different "weather schedules" as we just got 10" of snow at our house...God has truly created a world of profound variety and flair!

  7. Thank you for the gentle reminder that it is indeed still autumn! Unfortunatley, autumn is short-changed... although I love the fall colors and the cooler weather it brings after our grueling hot summers. But the tea room is decorated for Christmas, and all preparations are for the holiday season... it feels like winter around here, albeit no snow.
