The Tea Shoppe

It's a treat to have a local, individually operated tea shop in town. Linda, the establishment proprietress, is so friendly and knowledgeable about all things tea! She patiently explains each type you inquire about and has fragrant samples for you to smell so you can have a better idea of what a tea will taste like. Sample sizes are packaged upon request, and it just gets better from there! She carefully weighs the exact amount you desire and includes a note along with her verbal explanation of how to prepare and serve each tea. Her soft, English accent simply adds to the ambiance and pleasure of a visit to her shop.

Is there a local tea shop in your community? Does it meet your heart's desire?

This visit (photographed) was in preparation for afternoon tea with Marilyn and the Traveling Teapot.

Looks like a fantastic place, LaDonna - LOADS of different teas, and by offering the sale of a small sample, Linda really makes it easy to try something new. Sounds like my kind of shop.

  4. Hi Lah Tea Dah.....Nope, no tea shop around here. Nor a tea room. If I were younger, I'd open one! Susan

  5. How very special to have received tea from this shop. You are fortunate to have a sweet tea shop in your town.

We do have several tea shops in the Portland area, but I still sometime prefer ordering through the mail.

  7. This looks like a wonderful shop. We used to have a little tea shop with the most delightful proprietress. Now we have a coffe and tea 'bar' in the gift shop area of our long-time local pharmacy. It is family owned and operated and the lady who is in charge of tea is delightful. I love to taste her samples and buy more tea when I stop by.
