It must be that there can be traces, similar to the fermentation that results when baking yeast bread and such.La Tea Dahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03138624485398178242noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18734696.post-7783092707312622792009-07-27T01:47:56.901-07:002009-07-27T01:47:56.901-07:00Kombucha is naturally sparkling from the fermentat...Kombucha is naturally sparkling from the fermentation process. When done right these teas can be pleasant to the taste, especially when some fruit is mixed in them. Personally, though I'm a tea lover, I can't drink them because there can be small amounts of alcohol fermented in them. But they're for others to enjoy if they don't mind this fact. --JasonAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18734696.post-19042435933372007482009-07-26T11:53:54.571-07:002009-07-26T11:53:54.571-07:00Sara, I hope you can find some of this delicious t...Sara, I hope you can find some of this delicious tea! Mine is slightly different --- but adaptable. I don't find a separate carrier for tea. Maybe there should be a piece that sits inside. Also, the burner on mine appears to be for oil with a wick. It says 1906 --- I'm sure I could never find replacement parts! LOL! And totally off point....Sounds very interesting :0)
And totally off point...WOW what a deal you got on that samovar! The main large tank of the Samovar is only for boiling water. There is usually a small little pot that sits on the very top with dark steeped tea in it. Sitting on top keeps it warm/hot. You pour a little of the dark tea in your cup and then fill it with the hot water from the Samovar. To heat you build a little fire in the base with little pieces of wood. there should be separate space under the main section for that. I don't know if people have used charcoal for that step or not. Might get a little messy with the charcoal. I hope that makes sense...Probably good to test out on the patio :0)ellen b.https://www.blogger.com/profile/14531430948905935301noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18734696.post-62072657586864220152009-07-26T05:15:05.597-07:002009-07-26T05:15:05.597-07:00This tea sounds very effervescent with the ginger ...This tea sounds very effervescent with the ginger in it.
