Being Thankful

Thanksgiving officially begins the holiday season. Gathering at Grandpa's house for this holiday each year is a tradition we have carried on for nearly 30 years. In days gone by, Grandma was there as well. It was her favorite holiday and she always celebrated it with exuberance and joy. Although she's gone, we have worked hard to carry on her traditions and share in her joy of the holiday. This year our group was smaller, but it was a happy and thankful occasion just the same. Our menu varies little from year to year. Each of us knows what to bring without being asked, and our traditional menu represents what Thanksgiving means to us. We are grateful for another year and especially give thanks for Nathan's amazing recovery from a very serious motorcycle accident last April. Seeing his smiling face in the line-up for our traditional Thanksgiving photo of the cousins gives us all cause for great joy! Praise God! We are thankful!

Sounds like you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Ours was very small this year, just my family of four, but it was wonderful.

Delicious!
